Vivienne Hayes

Mrs. Vivienne Hayes is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Wolverhampton, specializing in mentoring, partnerships, and school placements. Based at the Walsall Campus, she serves as Placement Lead for the PGCE Primary Education and Year 1 of the BA (Hons) in Primary Education programs, both of which lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Her teaching responsibilities span mathematics, languages, professional learning, and Level 1 Safeguarding training.

• Education: PG Cert in Academic Practice in Higher Education, PGCE in Primary Education with Languages, BA in Business and Finance.
• Research Interests: Focus on mentoring, school placements, reading for pleasure, and the use of therapy dogs in education settings to enhance student wellbeing.
• Industry Experience: 16 years in education (schools and higher education) and 16 years in the retail leisure industry as a Regional Business Manager.
