Michele Windridge is a Lecturer in Education at University College Birmingham. She holds a BEd in Advanced Study of Early Years with QTS, a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She is currently pursuing a MA in Education. With over 20 years of teaching experience across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, her passion lies in early childhood education. Her leadership roles include serving as Assistant Headteacher, EYFS Aspiration Leader in Warwickshire, and Lead Teacher for Staffordshire School Improvement Division, where she supported schools in creating stimulating learning environments.

Her research focuses on early years pedagogy, with interests including looked-after children's learning ecosystems, neurodiversity in early years careers, and teacher development. She advocates the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing child-led learning and rights-based education. She has contributed to publications like Primary Teacher Solutions and Read & Respond Interactive series.
Externally, she serves as a School Safeguarding Governor (Secondary) and Childline Counsellor, while collaborating with educational trusts to enhance teacher training programs.
