Lorna Williams is a Principal Lecturer in Primary Education & Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) Course Leader at the University of Worcester's School of Education. She leads the PGCE Early Years (3-7) cohort and is the Early Years subject lead, focusing on advancing teacher training and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pedagogy. Her roles include guiding trainees in professional development during school placements and beyond. She also coordinates the Reception Class Teacher Network (RCTN), promoting positive early years teaching practices.
- Qualifications: MA in Education (2023), PG Cert in Teaching and Learning in HE (2019), BA Art and Design with QTS (1998)
- Experience: 17 years as an Early Years teacher, coordinator, and Phase Leader
Her research interests center on early years teacher identity, creative curriculum design, and inclusive educational practices. She teaches modules in Design and Technology, 'Developing Teacher', and 'Foundation subjects: Diversity and Inclusion'.
