Vincent Roscigno is the ASC Distinguished Professor of Sociology at The Ohio State University. He holds a BA from the University of Arizona and MS/PhD from North Carolina State University. His research focuses on social inequality, workplace discrimination, education disparities, and social movements. He has published over 100 articles and two books, including The Face of Discrimination and The Voice of Southern Labor. His current projects explore first-generation college students, workplace race/gender discrimination, and public-sector reform.

Research interests emphasize the intersection of structure and agency in inequality, with a focus on labor markets, education systems, and cultural legitimation of power.
