Velimir Živković is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of Warwick. He serves as Course Director for the LLM programs in International Commercial and Investment Governance in Financial Regulation (LLM ICGFR), International Commercial Law (LLM ICL), and International Economic Law (LLM IEL). Additionally, he acts as the Internationalisation Officer. His research focuses on international arbitration, international investment law, and the rule of law, employing both doctrinal and critical legal methodologies.
His work examines legal developments within arbitration frameworks, conflicting narratives in the field, and the potential of existing legal structures to foster positive change. He holds a position in B1.03 of the Social Sciences Building and can be reached via email or +44 (0)24 761 50435.
Research Interests: Dr. Živković’s expertise spans arbitration mechanisms, investment treaty disputes, national and international rule of law frameworks, and contract law. He critically evaluates legal systems while exploring their capacity for constructive reform. His interdisciplinary approach bridges traditional legal analysis with socio-legal critiques.
