Vania Andreoli is a PartTime Lecturer and Doctor of Philosophy student at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Western Australia, affiliated with the UWA Oceans Institute. She conducts interdisciplinary research bridging marine ecology, fisheries sustainability, and nutritional security, with fieldwork spanning the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and Pacific Islands.
Research Focus:
Her work examines climate change impacts on marine nutrient supplies, socio-ecological dynamics of global fisheries, and policy interventions for equitable seafood access. Key themes include micronutrient variability in fish stocks, satellite-based fisheries monitoring, subsidy reforms, and historical catch reconstructions to inform conservation.
