Valerie Middleton is an Adjunct Professor at the Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University, specializing in piano performance and pedagogy. She holds a B.M. from Yankton College and an M.M. in performance and pedagogy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her roles include soloist performances, collaborative pianist for string players and singers, and adjudicator for festivals. She has served as past president of the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association and board member of the Tennessee Music Teachers Association.
Her career highlights include performances in the U.S., Austria, and England, as well as concerto engagements with works by Beethoven, Liszt, and Mendelssohn. She has also contributed to productions of operettas like The Mikado and Iolanthe.
