Valeria Riedemann Lorca

Valeria Riedemann Lorca is Part-Time Lecturer in Classics and Affiliate Instructor at University of Washington. Specializing in Greek and Italic archaeology, her research analyzes funerary uses of Greek myths in pre-Roman Italy through comparative iconographic studies. Current book project focuses on Amazonomachies in Etruscan and Apulian tomb contexts.

Fieldwork: Conducted excavations in Italy and Turkey with research affiliations at British School at Athens and Université Libre de Bruxelles.
