Sarah Harvey is a Professor of Classics at Kent State University, specializing in Classical Archaeology and teaching Latin, Greek, and Classics. She actively leads fieldwork across the Mediterranean, currently co-directing excavations at the Etrusco-Umbrian necropolis of Vallone di San Lorenzo in central Italy. Her expertise spans Roman Archaeology, Roman Italy, Roman Art, Excavation Methods, and Latin Pedagogy.

Her research focuses on Roman and Etruscan civilizations, particularly in central Italy, with extensive publications on necropolis studies and excavation techniques. Recent works examine tomb structures, artifact documentation, and educational innovations like the 'flipped' Latin classroom.
She contributes to the Environmental Science and Design Research Initiative, integrating archaeological fieldwork with interdisciplinary approaches to Mediterranean studies.
