Dr. Uwe Balthasar is a Lecturer in Palaeontology at the University of Plymouth's School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. He serves as Admissions Tutor for Earth Sciences Degree Programs since 2019. His academic background includes a PhD in Management from University of Kent, BA in Business Information Management from University of Huddersfield, BA in Financial Management from Inter-Regional Academy of Personnel Management, and BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Cherkassy Engineering and Technological Institute.
Balthasar teaches palaeontology and geological field skills across all Earth Science degree programmes. He leads modules including GEOL2017 (The Building of Britain) and GEOL3016 (Geoscience Research Project), and contributes to several other earth science courses. His research focuses on palaeontological studies and geological field methodologies.
