- Center for Gender Studies
- LU Profile Area: Human Rights
Her research centers on law and power dynamics concerning gender, sexuality, class, ethnicity, and age, with particular focus on legal handling of sexual assault, human trafficking regulations, and #MeToo movement implications. She examines how criminal law intersects with vulnerability, autonomy, and structural inequalities in legal proceedings.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals consistent engagement with feminist legal theory applied to criminal justice systems, particularly regarding sexual violence cases. Her work demonstrates growing emphasis on digital technology's impact on law enforcement (AI facial recognition) and evolving legal responses to social movements.
- The Protection of Women, Children, and Marginalized Groups against Violence in Vietnam and Cambodia (2009)
Andersson actively supervises doctoral research and leads interdisciplinary projects including the #metoo legal response study with Clare McGlynn, Lena Karlsson and Linnea Wegerstad. She contributes to policy development through numerous government consultation statements on criminal law reform. Her Tellus project investigates sexual harassment at Lund University through multi-method approaches involving staff, doctoral students, and undergraduates.
