معرفی
Dr. Tyler Barr is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds' Faculty of Medicine and Health, affiliated with the Leeds Institute of Medical Research (LIMR). His research focuses on developing oncolytic virus immunotherapies for bone cancers, particularly Ewing Sarcoma and Osteosarcoma. Funded by the Myrovlytis Trust, he investigates how tumor microenvironments influence treatment efficacy using in vitro and in vivo models. He previously completed a PhD on NK cell responses in oncolytic virus therapy for Ewing Sarcoma, supported by the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
Education
- BSc Biomedical Science (First Class Honours)
- MSc Molecular Medicine (Distinction)
- PhD Cancer Immunotherapy (Pending viva)
Research Focus
Barr's work bridges molecular oncology and immunotherapy, emphasizing: 1) Screening oncolytic viruses against Osteosarcoma; 2) Analyzing immunosuppressive cells in tumor microenvironments; 3) Developing adjuvant therapies combining viruses with other agents. His research aims to overcome treatment limitations for metastatic sarcomas in young patients.
