Dr. Trevor Lewis is a Senior Lecturer in Physiology at the School of Medical Sciences, University of New South Wales. He teaches physiology and neuroscience across science, medical science, and medicine programs.
- Research Focus: Structure-function relationships in ligand-gated ion channels and cellular excitability mechanisms.
- Techniques: Patch clamp electrophysiology, imaging for ion channel localization.
- Current Projects: Investigating novel activation mechanisms at subunit interfaces in ion channels.
Research Areas include:
- Physiology
- Neuroscience
- Receptors and membrane biology
- Structural biology (incl. macromolecular modeling)
