معرفی
Tovah Shaw is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Division of Immunology, Immunity to Infection and Respiratory Medicine at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on immune cell biology, particularly macrophages and T cells, with contributions to understanding immune responses in infectious diseases and chronic conditions like cerebral malaria and stroke. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing health and well-being (SDG 3) and clean water/sanitation (SDG 6).
Shaw holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester (2015), where she investigated cerebral malaria pathogenesis and immunity. Her research interests include macrophage subsets in organ-specific immunity, T cell regulation in viral infections, and translational studies on immunological dysfunction in post-COVID patients.
Her recent publications highlight advancements in kidney macrophage biology, pulmonary immunity mechanisms, and the role of selenoproteins in stroke. Collaborations span institutions globally, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to immunology and public health challenges.
