Timothy Koberna serves as Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Head Athletic Trainer at Hope College since July 2013, responsible for academic instruction and athletic training services within the Department of Kinesiology for Division III athletic programs.

Research and Expertise: His work focuses on clinical applications in collegiate athletic training, specializing in evidence-based interventions for Division III athletes. Key methodologies include advanced kinesiology taping protocols and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization through Graston Technique, emphasizing practical implementation in sports medicine settings.

Professional Service: Serves as medical staff for USA Wrestling and United States Marine Corps/USA Wrestling Junior and Cadet National Championships in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, providing clinical expertise at national events for five consecutive years.
