Dr. Leigh Sears is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at Hope College, where she has served since 2000. She also serves as the head women’s soccer coach, leading the team to six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships and seven NCAA Division III Tournament appearances through the 2022 season. Her research focuses on body image, disordered eating, and exercise behaviors in female athletes, particularly in NCAA Division III contexts.
Education: Ph.D. in Exercise Science (Ohio State University, 2007), M.S. in Exercise Science (Ithaca College, 1997), B.A. in Physical Education and Health Education (Ohio Wesleyan University, 1991).
