Tillmann Hoyer serves as a research associate at the University of Potsdam's Faculty of Economics, Work and Technology since 2024. He is actively engaged with both the Chair of Economic-Technical Education and its Didactics and the Chair of Didactics of Economic-Technical Education in an Inclusive Context, focusing specifically on cognitive development education.
His research expertise spans technical education methodologies and educational media development. Hoyer's work integrates economic education principles with inclusive teaching approaches, particularly addressing the needs of students with varying cognitive abilities. He contributes significantly to teacher preparation programs, developing curriculum content that bridges theoretical economic concepts with practical classroom applications. His research interests naturally align with the university's educational technology initiatives, including virtual and augmented reality applications in pedagogy.
Academically, Hoyer completed his preparatory service in Brandenburg and earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in Economics, Labor, and Technology and History at the University of Potsdam. His teaching portfolio includes the 2024 Summer Semester seminar 'Introduction to Economics for Teacher Training Students: Markets, Actors and Framework Conditions' and supervision of school-practical studies internships.
