Thomas Alsip serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of New Hampshire. An established director, actor, and educator, he brings extensive professional experience from New York City and regional theatre productions.
His educational background includes:
- B.F.A. from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts
- M.F.A. in Directing from the University of Alabama
His research and creative work centers on Acting, Directing, Musical Theatre, Opera, and Theatre. He actively bridges academic and professional practice through performance, direction, and pedagogy in musical theatre and classical works. His career spans national tours, off-Broadway productions, and university program development.
His notable recognitions include:
