Terri Gile

Terri Gile is a Supporting Instructor and Faculty Supervisor in the Education & Youth Studies department at Beloit College. She retired after 38 years of service in the School District of Beloit, including 33 years as an elementary school teacher and 5 years as an instructional STEM coach. She holds a BS in Elementary Education and is affiliated with the MEPD - Gifted and Talented Education program.

• Education: BS in Elementary Education

Her research and practice focus on STEM education, gifted and talented education, and community engagement. She has partnered with organizations like the Girl Scouts and Beloit Public Library, and served as Director for Miss Beloit Teen. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning and community impact.

• Awards: 2017 Herb Kohl Education Foundation Teacher Fellowship Award

Terri’s advising and grant work include supporting pre-service teachers and STEM initiatives. She currently works in Morse-Ingersoll Hall, Room 210.
