Teresa Pfefferkorn

Teresa Pfefferkorn serves as a Lecturer at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) within the Faculty of Music, teaching choral conducting in both the Institute for Music Education and Institute for Artistic Training - Orchestral Instruments and Conducting. She additionally holds a teaching position at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig.

Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Protestant Church Music from Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HfMT Hamburg) and Bayreuth University of Music (HfK Bayreuth), followed by a Master's degree in choral and ensemble conducting from UdK Berlin.

Ms. Pfefferkorn's professional focus centers on Choral Conducting, Music Therapy, and Music Education, with particular emphasis on the impact of choral singing on body, soul, and spirit. Her conducting philosophy prioritizes creating spaces for authentic human connection through music, shaped by study trips to Indonesia, Sweden, and the USA, alongside master classes with Stefan Parkman, Grete Pedersen, and Yuval Weinberg.

She directs the Great Choir of UdK Berlin, chamber choirs hortus vocalis and Kronenchor Friedrichstadt eV, while regularly collaborating with UdK Berlin's Chamber Choir and Women's Choir. Her professional engagements extend to Berlin Philharmonic Choir, Collegium Musicum Berlin ensembles, and children's choirs of Staatsoper Unter den Linden and Staats- und Domchor.
