Ted Murray is a Sessional Faculty member at Thompson Rivers University's Faculty of Law, teaching Employment Law (LAWF 3850) and Insurance Law (LAWF 3500). He has held roles in civil litigation practice, legal clinics, and interdisciplinary careers. He serves as Executive Director of the TRU Community Legal Clinic since 2017 and was its Supervising Lawyer when it launched in 2016.
Education: BA (Simon Fraser University), JD (University of British Columbia). Notable achievements include winning the Ray Herbert Award (2010) and a clerkship at the Supreme Court of British Columbia (2010-2011). Prior to law, he worked as a software developer at Electronic Arts Canada and a high school teacher/coach.
Research and practice focus on employment law, insurance law, and community legal services. He has contributed to legal education through teaching and clinical legal practice, bridging academic and applied legal expertise.
