Tanushree Halder is an Assistant Professor at Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia (UWA). She holds a Master of Science in Applied Biotechnology from the University of Westminster and an MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University. Her research focuses on plant genetics, biotechnology, and improving crop resilience to abiotic stresses, particularly in wheat. She has conducted extensive studies on root traits, salinity tolerance, and omics approaches in cereal crops. Halder has been awarded multiple travel grants and scholarships, including the UNDERWOOD PHD COMPLETION SCHOLARSHIP (2022). Her work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to agriculture and environmental sustainability.
Her research expertise includes plant genetics, root system architecture, and stress resilience. Recent studies involve identifying biomarkers for root traits and quantitative trait loci in wheat. She collaborates internationally and has published influential papers on crop improvement and proteomics. Halder’s contributions span both academic research and applied agricultural science, aiming to enhance global food security through genetic and molecular approaches.
