Tammy Kahrig serves as the Social Return on Investment Impact Analyst at the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, Ohio University. She joined the Planning, Evaluation, Education and Research (PEER) Team in 2022. Previously, she held leadership roles in higher education, including Vice Provost for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Accreditation, and Lecturer in the Department of Leadership Studies in Education and Organizations at Wright State University.
Dr. Kahrig has a 30-year career focused on assessment, evaluation, program review, and quality improvement. Her work emphasizes translating data into actionable strategies to enhance education and health outcomes. She has taught graduate courses in assessment and evaluation at Clemson University and Wright State University.
Her professional engagements include national peer reviewing for accreditation bodies (e.g., Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, Higher Learning Commission) and active participation in Ohio’s education policy advocacy. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio University, alongside master’s and undergraduate degrees in education.
Dr. Kahrig’s expertise spans K-12 teacher preparation, institutional strategy development, and collaborative advocacy with education deans to influence state policies. She has contributed to committees at the Ohio Department of Education and Department of Higher Education, driving systemic improvements through evidence-based approaches.
