Tammy Rapp is the Robert H. Freeman Associate Professor of Management at Ohio University's College of Business, specializing in team effectiveness. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Connecticut, alongside an MBA from Alliant International University and a M.S. in Management from San Diego State University. Her research focuses on team processes, emergent states, leadership, and multiple team memberships, with publications in top journals like Journal of Applied Psychology and Leadership Quarterly.
Dr. Rapp has received numerous awards including the Robert H. Freeman Professorship (2018), multiple Excellence in Research recognitions, and a Scholarly Impact Award from the Journal of Management. She serves as Senior Associate Editor for Group & Organization Management, curating annual conceptual issues to advance organizational research.
Her work emphasizes practical applications, such as team chartering, virtual team management, and mitigating negative effects of multiple team memberships.
