Syam S Andra

Syam S. Andra, PhD is a Professor in the Environmental Medicine department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He leads the organics section of the Senator Frank Lautenberg Environmental Health Sciences Laboratory, which is part of the NIEHS P30 Core Centre and Children's Health Exposure Analysis Resource. His research focuses on advanced chromatography and mass spectrometry workflows for environmental analysis and human exposure biomarker studies.

Dr. Andra collaborates with Dr. Manish Arora to develop targeted and non-targeted approaches for studying prenatal exposures and childhood exposome using teeth as a novel bio-matrix. His current work emphasizes understanding the impact of environmental chemicals on maternal-child health outcomes, including liver injury and endocrine disruption.
