Damaskini Valvi is an Associate Professor in Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. She holds an MD from the University of Crete Medical School (Greece), an MPH from Pompeu Fabra University (Spain), and a PhD from Pompeu Fabra University. Her postdoctoral training included Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Her research focuses on environmental exposures (e.g., PFAS, pesticides, endocrine disruptors) and their impacts on metabolic disorders, liver health, and neurodevelopmental outcomes.
