Birgit Claus Henn is an Associate Professor of Environmental Health at the Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH). She serves as Director of the PhD Program in Environmental Health and PI of the NIEHS T32 Predoctoral Training Program. Her research focuses on environmental exposures affecting maternal and child health, particularly metals and endocrine disruptors, and their impacts on neurodevelopment, birth outcomes, and reproductive health.
- Education: ScD in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health; MPH in Environmental Health from UC Berkeley; BA in Environmental Science from UC Berkeley.
- Research: Examines chemical mixtures' effects using novel statistical methods, including metal mixtures' neurodevelopmental impacts and PFAS exposure in high-risk populations. Leads projects on environmental justice and community-based exposure science.
