Suzanne Cole

Suzanne Cole, M.D., FACP, FASCO, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She holds dual roles as Medical Director and Research Leader of Community Oncology at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her work focuses on expanding access to clinical trials for underserved populations, particularly in rural and minority communities (CORUM). Dr. Cole’s clinical expertise lies in genitourinary malignancies, and she actively integrates narrative medicine to highlight patient experiences. She earned degrees from UT Dallas, CSUN, and UT Southwestern, with fellowship training at MD Anderson. Her leadership roles include serving on ASCO committees and founding the Hematology & Oncology Women Physician Group. Awards include recognition as one of Dallas’s Best Doctors (2020–2024) and America’s Best Prostate Cancer Oncologist (2024).

Advocacy & Grants: Leads initiatives to bring clinical trials to UT Southwestern’s community clinics in Richardson-Plano, Redbird, and Fort Worth. Collaborates on projects addressing socioeconomic disparities in immunotherapy access and genomic profiling in urothelial carcinoma.

Labs/Teams: Director of Community Oncology Research at Simmons Cancer Center. Founded the Hematology & Oncology Women Physician Group to support women in oncology leadership roles.
