Susanne Arvidsson is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM), specializing in Accounting and Corporate Finance. She serves as Centre Director of the Sparbanken Skåne Centre for Sustainable Enterprising and is a member of the LU Profile Area: Nature-based future solutions. Her research focuses on sustainability transformation in organizations, sustainable finance, biodiversity integration, and organizational change. She leads high-impact projects like Mistra BIOPATH (funded with MSEK 50) and directs the SSCEN initiative (MSEK 25 donation).
Her academic background includes a PhD in 2003 and extensive teaching across business administration disciplines, emphasizing sustainable business models and finance. She has received prestigious pedagogical awards from Lund University student unions. Her research spans environmental policy, corporate governance, and financial market dynamics, with over 60 publications in journals like Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Business Strategy and the Environment.
Key research interests include biodiversity-finance linkages, climate-related risk reporting, and the role of language in sustainability communication. She collaborates internationally, with networks spanning universities in Europe and Australia. Current projects address biodiversity integration into corporate decision-making and sustainable financial systems. She also contributes to policy-oriented initiatives like Lund Municipality’s Climate Policy Council.
Notable achievements include leading interdisciplinary research centers, securing significant funding, and publishing influential works on sustainability governance and ESG reporting. Her work bridges academia and practice, aiming to advance systemic sustainability transitions in business and public sectors.
