Nils Droste is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Lund University, with additional roles at CIRCLE, BECC, and LU Profile Area: Nature-based future solutions. His research focuses on environmental policy effectiveness, particularly sustainable forest governance, biodiversity finance, and quantitative analysis of public finance institutions for land use and conservation.
