Susan Dodes is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University’s Steinhardt School, specializing in Music Business. She holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MA in American Studies from Columbia University. Her career spans over 30 years in the music industry, including roles at Warner-Chappell Music, Sony/Relativity Recordings, and her own consultancy firm, SuLeDo Music Consulting. She has mentored over 150 young women through the She Is the Music Foundation’s Virtual Mentorship Program and oversees the SITM/Blackbird Academy Scholarship Program. She is also a Mechanical Licensing Collective Educator Ambassador.

Awards include the Hamden Alumni Achievement Award for mentorship and professional excellence. She advocates for legislative changes benefiting songwriters and has advised NARAS and The Latin Grammys on educational initiatives.
