Dr Susan Campbell is a Senior Lecturer in Biosciences at Sheffield Hallam University, affiliated with the School of Biosciences and Chemistry. She serves as the Postgraduate Research Tutor for the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre and is a local ambassador for the Biochemical Society. Her academic journey includes a BA (Mod) in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD in molecular biology, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Manchester. She has held her current position since 2013, focusing on protein synthesis regulation under stress and disease, particularly neurodegenerative conditions like Vanishing White Matter (VWM).
