Sun-Young Park

Professor Sun-Young Park is a full-time faculty member at the University of San Francisco's School of Management, specializing in strategy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), branding, and tourism management. Her research explores sustainable business models, disruptive innovation, and strategic collaboration in hospitality and tourism sectors. She has held leadership roles in committees such as the Peer Review Committee and Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Committee, and actively mentors professionals in innovation hackathons. Dr. Park holds a PhD from Texas A&M University, an MPA from the University of Hawaii, and a BA from Ewha Woman’s University.

Her research interests span CSR in tourism and hospitality, online consumer behavior, and sustainable destination branding. Notable projects include analyzing short-term rental impacts, strategic bridging for sustainability, and the role of CSR in employee engagement. Recent work explores entrepreneurial resilience during global disruptions and bridging gaps in venture capitalist dynamics.

Dr. Park has been recognized with the Outstanding Research Award (2011, 2013) and the John Crompton Award (2005). Her publications span journals like Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. She also contributes to industry initiatives like the China Business Studies Initiative and the International Student Ambassador Program.
