Stéphane Perreault, PhD, is an Associate Lecturer (Lecturer) at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts, specializing in the Department of History, Classics, & Religion. He holds a part-time teaching position at Campus Saint-Jean since 2022 and has taught at institutions including the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and Red Deer College (now Polytechnic). His research focuses on Canadian history, particularly colonial dynamics, Indigeneity, gender, and sexuality. His earlier work explored the history of Deaf communities in Montréal, while his current interests center on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), bridging university-level history education and K-12 social studies pedagogy.
Professionally, he actively contributes to Alberta's Francophone community, serving on boards of organizations like the Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta and the Société historique francophone de l'Alberta, and chairs the Réseau santé albertain. He also participates in national educational initiatives, including EDI work with the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).
