Stéphane Lévesque is a Full Professor (titulaire) of history education at the Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa, and serves as Vice-dean Research and Director of the Virtual History Lab (VH Lab). He specializes in historical thinking, citizenship education, and digital history. His work integrates new media and technology to enhance history education through projects like the Virtual Historian initiative funded by CFI and SSHRC.

His research focuses on students' historical consciousness, Canadian history, and the pedagogical use of digital tools. The VH Lab employs eye-tracking and other technologies to study online learning behaviors and improve history education materials.
