Dr. Marie Drolet is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Ottawa, with a background as an Officetitulaire retraitée. Her research focuses on active provision of French-language health and social services in bilingual settings, social policies, and Francophone minority communities. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Université Laval (1994), alongside earlier degrees from the same institution (M.S.S. 1987, B.S.S. 1979).
Key affiliations include membership in the Réseau des services de santé en français de l'Est de l'Ontario (2022–2025), the Canadian Association for Social Work Education’s accreditation commission (2021–2027), and the GReFoPs research group (2010–2020), which addresses accessibility and training in Francophone minority contexts.
Her research emphasizes mental health, stress management in educational settings, and preventive interventions. She has co-authored influential works on service accessibility for Francophone minorities, including Accessibility Active Offer (2017) and contributed to policy frameworks for professional training in minority settings.
