Danielle de Moissac is a Full Professor in the Department of Experimental Sciences at the University of Saint-Boniface. She serves as Co-director of the Research and Intervention Group on Well-being in Educational Settings (GRIBEME) and is a member of both the Research Group on Professional Training in Health and Social Services in a Francophone Minority Context (GREFOPSS) and the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Active Offer of Services in French (GRIPOAS). Dr. de Moissac teaches several biological sciences courses including Comparative Animal Histology, Evolution and Morphological Structure of Chordates, Evolutionary Biology, and Physiology of the Human Body.
Dr. de Moissac holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Manitoba. Her primary research interests focus on young adult mental health and at-risk behaviors, as well as access to healthcare for Francophones in minority contexts. Her work bridges the fields of public health, mental health services, and linguistic minority studies, with particular emphasis on the Francophone community in Manitoba and across Canada.
Her extensive publication record demonstrates consistent focus on mental health, substance use patterns, and healthcare access challenges facing Francophone minorities. Her research often examines how ethnolinguistic identity intersects with mental health outcomes and healthcare utilization. Recent work has explored the impact of cannabis legislation on university students, language barriers in healthcare settings, and service coordination for Francophone seniors. Her methodological approaches include quantitative surveys, qualitative analyses, and comparative studies across different Francophone communities in Canada.

Her community engagement extends beyond research through service on the Board of Directors of Actionmarguerite (2012-2016) and the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish (2012-2016).
Dr. de Moissac leads several research groups focused on well-being in educational settings and active offer of French language services. Her GRIBEME research group conducts studies on student mental health and risk behaviors across multiple Canadian universities, while her work with GREFOPSS and GRIPOAS addresses professional training and service delivery challenges in Francophone minority contexts.
