Dr. Stuart Moir is a Lecturer in the Institute for Education, Community and Society (IECS) at the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and Sport. He holds roles such as external examiner for undergraduate education programs at the University of Hull and University of the West of Scotland, and chairs Newbattle Abbey College's Learning & Teaching Committee. His research focuses on citizenship education, youth activism, critical pedagogy, and Marxist analysis of education.

He supervises PhD students on topics like critical pedagogy and professional practice learning.

Teaching Contributions: Organizes courses like Domains of Practice and Professional Practice Placements on the MA (Hons) Learning in Communities program. Previously led the BA Community Education program and designed its successor, the MA Learning in Communities.
