Steven Zeidman is a Professor at CUNY School of Law, founder and Co-Director of the Second Look Project: Beyond Guilt and the Defenders Clinic. With a career dedicated to criminal defense and court reform, he graduated from Duke University School of Law and previously served as a trial lawyer and supervisor at Manhattan’s Legal Aid Society. He has taught at Fordham, Pace, and New York University, where he received the NYU Alumni Association’s Great Teacher Award. Currently, he focuses on sentencing equity, clemency advocacy, and systemic criminal justice reform.
