Steven Owen is a Professional Fellow and PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University. With over 40 years of experience in the Surface Coatings industry, he currently serves as Managing Director of Illawarra Coatings. His research focuses on surface coatings, UV-cured coatings, and biocatalytic coatings.
Education includes a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from Macquarie University (1980–1985) and a Master of Science (Nuclear Chemistry and Kinetics) from the University of New South Wales (1986–1995).
- Professional Affiliations: Fellow of the Technology of Surface Coatings (FTSC), Member of Royal Australian Chemical Institute (MRACI CChem), and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
