Dr Stephen Kelly is a Senior Lecturer in Supply Chains, Procurement & Project Management at Salford Business School, University of Salford. With over a decade of industry experience from Siemens, GEC, and the NHS, he brings practical expertise to his academic work. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from Lancaster University Management School.

Dr Kelly's research focuses on supply chain management with special emphasis on gender-responsive procurement, Industry 4.0 applications in procurement, negotiation strategies, and circular procurement/sourcing. His work examines how procurement practices can drive social change, enhance sustainability, and improve organizational effectiveness. He has contributed to numerous academic journals and served as institutional lead for EU-funded projects PERFECT (exploring PSM skills) and PERSIST (Industry 4.0).
