Louise Knight

Louise Knight is a Full Professor at the University of Twente, affiliated with the TechMed Centre and Digital Society Institute. She holds roles in Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Management. Her research focuses on procurement and supply management (PSM), particularly in public and healthcare sectors, emphasizing strategic procurement, policy, and sustainability. She co-edits the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and serves on editorial boards of Sustainability and the Journal of Public Procurement.

Key research interests include capacity building in procurement expertise, managing supply risks in concentrated markets, and leveraging PSM for sustainable development goals (SDGs). Current projects address PSM in crises (e.g., pandemic shortages), dynamic capabilities of sustainable firms, and alliances in health/social care. She is a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Fellow and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
