Stephen Breyer is the Byrne Professor of Administrative Law and Process at Harvard Law School (Harvard University), a role he assumed post-retirement from the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022. He holds an A.B. in Philosophy from Stanford University, a B.A. from Magdalen College, Oxford, and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School. Breyer’s career spans academia, public service, and the judiciary, including serving as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1994 to 2022 and on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit from 1980 to 1994.
