Dr. Eick is a member of the US EPA's Scientific Advisory Committee on Chemicals and leads multiple prospective birth cohort studies. She investigates PFAS ('forever chemicals'), reproductive health, and child development outcomes funded by NICHD and NIEHS. Her work emphasizes mechanisms linking environmental exposures to adverse health outcomes through metabolomics and epigenetic analyses. She teaches courses on environmental epidemiology and exposure assessment.
- Education: BS (Michigan State), MPH (Emory), PhD (UGA)
- Affiliations: HERCULES Exposome Research Center, Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiologic Research
Key research areas include maternal-fetal health, oxidative stress biomarkers, and environmental justice. She collaborates with the ECHO Program to advance understanding of chemical impacts on child development. Her studies address vulnerable populations, such as African American communities, and inform policy through interdisciplinary approaches.
