معرفی
Stefan Ehrlich is a tenured Professor of Translational Developmental Neuroscience and Head of the Division of Psychological and Social Medicine and Developmental Neurosciences at the Technical University of Dresden. He holds dual roles as Vice Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Head of the Eating Disorder Research and Treatment Center. His academic journey includes a PhD from TU Dresden (2019) and an MD from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin (2006), complemented by postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School.
His research focuses on the biological underpinnings of mental disorders, particularly eating disorders, exploring how genetic and environmental factors interact to influence brain development and behavior. Key themes include reward sensitivity, cognitive control mechanisms, and neural correlates of anorexia nervosa. Ehrlich’s work integrates neuroimaging, genetic analysis, and clinical intervention studies.
Notable achievements include the Christina Barz Research Award (2015) and the Hilde-Bruch-Research Award (2012). His lab, the Translational Developmental Neuroscience Research Section, drives innovations in diagnostic biomarkers and treatment strategies for eating disorders. Collaborative projects span international consortia, such as the ENIGMA initiative, advancing understanding of brain structure and function in psychiatric conditions.
