Dr. Srikanth Pilla is the Robert Patrick Jenkins Endowed Professor and Dean's Faculty Fellow in Automotive Engineering at Clemson University. He founded and directs the Clemson Composites Center and Automotive Engineering Certificate Program.
His research develops sustainable lightweight materials and manufacturing processes, including biobased polymers, nanocomposites, and multi-material joining technologies. Current projects investigate silicon-based anodes, nanocellulose composites, and injection molding innovations.

- SC Governor's Young Scientist Award (2018)
- Stefan Pischinger Young Industry Leadership Award, SAE (2017)
- Robert J. Hocken Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer, SME (2016)
He serves as Associate Editor for SAE International Journal of Materials and Manufacturing and supervises multiple PhD candidates in materials science and automotive engineering.
