Dr. Ramy Harik is Exxon Mobil Employees Endowed Professor and Director of the Clemson Composites Center at Clemson University's Department of Automotive Engineering. A Fulbright alumnus, he holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Automated Manufacturing, and Industrial/Mechanical Engineering. His research advances smart manufacturing, composites production, and industrial automation through AI integration.
Harik's work bridges manufacturing theory and industrial applications, developing frameworks for real-time defect detection, blockchain-enabled systems, and VR-based factory visualization. His textbook Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing (SAE International) establishes foundational principles for modern production systems. He secured over $15M in funding from NASA, Boeing, and other industry partners.
