Srikanth Pilla is a Professor and Director of the Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware with joint appointments in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, and Chemical Engineering. He founded the AIM for Composites Energy Frontier Research Center and leads research in sustainable materials, composite manufacturing, and materials informatics. His honors include the EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award and Composites Educator of the Year Award.
Pilla's research develops sustainable polymers and composites using lignin valorization, computational materials design, and hybrid manufacturing. Recent publications address green synthesis of biopolymers, inverse design of composites, and advanced smart coatings.
