Srdjan Nesic is a Russ Professor and Director of the Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology at Ohio University's Russ College of Engineering. He holds appointments in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and leads research at the intersection of electrochemistry and multiphase flow.
His fundamental research examines corrosion mechanisms in energy systems, erosion-corrosion interactions, and protective scale formation. Recent publications focus on corrosion inhibitor design, machine learning applications in materials degradation, and extreme environment material performance.
Nesic has received multiple prestigious awards including the NACE H.H. Uhlig Award and CORROSION Journal Best Paper awards. His extensive industry consulting includes expert testimony on major corrosion failure cases.
