Dr. Soumyadeep Bhaumik is a medical doctor and international public health research methodologist serving as Head of the Meta-research and Evidence Synthesis Unit at The George Institute for Global Health, affiliated with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Medicine & Health school. He is recognized internationally for his work on evidence synthesis, research priority setting, and core outcome sets, with significant contributions to transforming the evidence ecosystem toward justice-oriented frameworks.
His educational background includes a PhD in Medicine from UNSW Sydney, a Master of Science in International Public Health with Merit from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and an MBBS from Bankura Sammilani Medical College, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, India.
